Career Highlights: Two-time Brazilian karting champion. 1992 Brazilian Formula Ford champion.
Previous Experience:Began racing karts in Brazil in 1985, winning two-straight championships before entering the Brazilian Formula Ford Championship in 1990. Won seven races from 1990 through 1993, he won the series championship with four wins in 1992. Moved to the United States in 1994, where since 2005 he started driving Kart, Formula Mazda, GT-2 and most recently GT and Touring Pro Racing as well with some podium results.

Unlike many famous race drivers, Marco Ferrera did not come from a racing family. But he could not be more dedicated to the pursuit of a professional racing career. Born in 1966, he put together his first Kart by restoring one that was discarded by local race shop. Marco Ferrera started racing Karts in 1985 and developed his skills on the same Brazilian Kart circuit that produced legends like Ayrton Senna, Gil de Ferran, Emerson Fittipaldi and Rubens Barrichello.

After only one year, Ferrera captured the 1986 State Kart Championship title, and topped this accomplishment by winning the National Kart Championship in 1987.
In 1990 Ferrera entered the highly competitive Brazilian Formula Ford Championship, finishing fourth in the series in only his first year, followed by a podium finish in 1991.

In 1992 things started to come together for Marco, when he scored four wins and claimed the national title in the Formula Ford Series. He moved to the United States in 1994 to become US Citizen and later start racing here as well where is the racing schedule is busier and also more affordable with a great support from the American Companies.
